ABSTRACT

Objective:Based on network pharmacology to study the mechanism of Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction in treating tension-type headache. Methods:Searched for the active ingredients and potential targets of Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction from TCMSP database, and adopted the targets of tension-type headache from GeneCards, DisGeNET, Drugbank and OMIM databases. Then obtained all the intersections of Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction and tension-type headache, and uploaded them to the STRING databases to construct a PPI network and conduct topological properties analysis. Finally, established a Chinese medicine regulatory network of Chinese medicine-components-target genes-disease by Cytoscape 3.6.1 software. To perform the GO function enrichment analysis and KEGG analysis on the core targets. Results:There were 51 intersections of Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction and tension-type headache. The topological properties analysis suggested that CASP3, JUN, HSP90AA1, MAPK1, STAT3, CCND1, ESR1, RELA, PTGS2, MAPK14 may be the potential targets for the treatment of tension-type headache in Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction. Gene ontology enrichment analysis showed 876 biological processes, 101 molecular functions and 62 cellular components. KEGG pathway enrichment analysis showed 25 related signaling pathways, including TNF signaling pathway, serotonergic synapse, NOD-like receptor signaling pathway, Dopaminergic synapse and Sphingolipid signaling pathway. Conclusion:The treatment of tension-type headache by Shaoyao-Gancao Decoction verified the characteristics of multi-component, multi-target and multi-pathway, which provided reference for the clinical medication.

ABSTRACT

Objective:To improve recognition of the clinical phenotype and genotype of achondroplasia(ACH).Methods:The clinical data and genetic test results of 2 children with ACH were analyzed retrospectively, and the related literature was reviewed. Results:Case 1 was a 1-year-old girl whose mother was short in stature. She was admitted to the hospital due to knee reflexes of both lower limbs for more than 9 months.Physical examination showed that her head circumference was 45 cm and she had short stature, short limbs, low muscle tension of both lower limbs, the developmental quotient was 65 scores.Bilateral ilium and hip joint lesions by X-ray were considered as ACH.According to the submitted gene results, FGFR3 gene c. 1138G >A (p.Gly380Arg) of the girl showed the heterozygous variation, and that gene of her mother showed the heterozygous variation.Case 2 was a 10-month-old girl, who was admitted to the hospital due to limb weakness for over 5 months.Physical examination showed head circumference of 46 cm, short stature, short limbs, reduced muscle tension of limbs, grade 4 muscle strength of limbs, and the developmental quotient was 41 scores.X-ray showed that both lower limbs were in accordance with ACH.The gene results suggested the heterozygous variation of FGFR3 gene c. 1138G >A (p.Gly380Arg) in the girl(a novel mutation), and a wild-type gene in her parents. Conclusions:The clinical features of achondroplasia are diverse. The bone changes and nerve development also need to be recognized and discriminated.

ABSTRACT

Gastric cancer is one of the malignant tumors with high morbidity and high mortality in China.Research has shown that viral infection is closely related to the occurrence of gastric cancer.EpsteinBarr virus-associated gastric cancer characterized by EB virus infection has been classified as a subtype of gastric cancer, whose epidemiology, pathogenesis, clinical and histopathologic features have been studied in detail. At the same time, oncolytic viruses reveal the inhibitory effect of the virus on tumors, and their ability to target and kill tumor cells is used in the treatment of some advanced cancers. This article will review the research advances about relevance to gastric cancer of several viruses that have been reported and the latest progress in anticancer mechanisms and combined therapies for oncolytic viruses.

ABSTRACT

@#Objective To observe the effects of neuromuscular activation (Neurac) training on balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy. Methods 30 children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy from March to October, 2015 were divided into observation group (n=15) and control group (n=15). Both groups received routine rehabilitation, while the observation group received 30-minute Neurac training in addition, 5 times a week, for 3 months. They were assessed with D and E domains of Gross Motor Function Measure 88 (GM-FM-88), balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment and footprints analysis before and after treatment. Results The scores of D and E domains of GMFM-88 and balance of Fugl-Meyer Assessment, and the step length, step width and velocity improved in both groups after training (t>7.31, P<0.001), especially in the observation group (t>2.08, P<0.05). Conclusion Neuroac training can further promote the recovery of gross motor function, balance and walking in children with hemiplegic cerebral palsy.

ABSTRACT

Cerebral palsy (CP) is the most common activity limitition of children, their movement and posture impairments persist throughout whole life.In recent years, CP has been significantly increasing with the improved survival rate of newborns. This may lead to a great burden and costs to both the family and the society.A variety of risk factors have been proposed to be associated with CP.However, recent abroad researches indicate that genetic factors may predispose to CP of newborns and initial results of related researches infer that several susceptibility genes may contribute to CP's development, masqueraders have a great impact on CP's clinical symptoms. Now, the recent publications related to virulence genes and masqueraders of CP are reviewed.

ABSTRACT

Different harvest times of Isatidis Folium had a significant effect on the yield and the quality of Isatidis Radix and Isatidis Folium. The harvest could increase the yield of Isatidis Folium, but reduce the yield of Isatidis Radix, the quality of Isatidis Radix and Isatidis Folium. One, two and three harvests of the Isatidis Folium reduced the yield of Isatidis Radix as 18.3%, 58.6%, 67.4% and increased the yield of the Folium as 107.3%, 86.3% and 116.6%. Ethanol-soluble extract of Isatidis Radix was 42.50%, 42.24%, 31.77%, which were 1.19%, 1.79%, 26.13% lower than those of the control, respectively. The water-soluble extract, indirubin, indigo content reduced with increase of the harvest times. Indirubin contents with two or three times harvests were higher than that of the control, but the content of water-soluble extract, ethanol-soluble extract, indigo were lower than those of the control.
